Former Garden Festival Site
On behalf of developers Langtree Plc and the David Mclean Developments Spawforths secured outline planning permission in 2008 to redevelop and restore the former Liverpool International Garden Festival site.
The application was subject to extensive community and stakeholder engagement with, amongst others, CABE and CABE Space through Design Workshops, which informed development of the scheme.
The £250 million scheme for the 35 hectare site involved demolition of the derelict festival hall and will provide more than 1,300 homes, shops and local amenities and restore 56 acres of landscaped grounds.
The Langtree Group PLC have recently completed the stunning refurbishment of the Festival Gardens on the edge of the Mersey in Liverpool.
With the Gardens completed and resplendent, Spawforths are now advising Langtree on the planning issues associated with taking forward the new residential neighbourhood proposal.
