Introduction
Spawforth's Business and Finance team is headed up by Rachel Illsley and is made up of finance, IT and business support specialists.

Rachel Illsley BSc(Hons) PgC, is the Finance Director and Company Secretary of Spawforths and head of the business and finance team. Originally qualifying as an Industrial Designer, Rachel progressed her career with studies in both marketing and finance. Rachel is responsible for the Strategic Financial, Marketing, Personnel, Health and Safety and IT activities within the company. She runs a team of internal and external staff and consultants to assist her in this role. She is responsible for maintaining a positive office environment and actively promotes the company values of friendliness, professional Integrity, commercial understanding, creativity and sustainability.

Joanne Brown, is the Accounts Manager supporting the Financial Director at Spawforths. Joanne originally studied for a career in Hotel Management and it was here that she had her first introduction to accounting procedures. Having undertaken Management Accountant training Joanne decided to specialise in the general accounting role as she finds the diversity rewarding. At Spawforth Associates, Joanne deals with the day to day running of the accounts, provides management reports and negotiates new contracts with service providers.
