Summary

Spawforths successfully secured full planning permission for 78 dwellings at Marsh Lane, Misterton. Following the Planning Committee's previous resolution to refuse planning permission on design grounds, Langley Homes Ltd instructed Spawforths to appeal the decision. 

The appeal was heard at Inquiry, where it was demonstrated that the submitted Design and Access Statement had carefully considered the character and appearance of the area to inform the proposed development. The Planning Inspector concluded that the proposals were "perfectly acceptable" within the context of the area and the appeal was allowed.
