Summary
Spawforths were commissioned in 2008 to prepare a Design and Delivery Framework for the Bradford Markets Study Area. The project required the evolution of a masterplan for the site which sought an improved markets offer, retail development and its assimilation into the Council’s World Mile strategy, a concept to develop a multi-cultural food and retail offer along one of the main routes into the City Centre.
Spawforths worked in partnership with the city’s urban regeneration company (Bradford Centre Regeneration), Bradford MDC and Yorkshire Forward to produce a framework to take the site forward towards a detailed proposal for the site.
