Olympia Park, Selby

Spawforths developed a masterplan for a residential-led mixed use urban extension to Selby to significantly enhance the value of the former BOCM feed factory. We then embedded this into the Selby Core Strategy as its largest Strategic Site allocation and then secured planning permission on this 100 Ha site for approximately 863 new homes, 36 ha of employment, sporting facilities and local retail and community facilities.
Our integrated Planning, Masterplanning, Environmental Assessment, Landscape, Architect and Stakeholder teams worked cohesively to address significant technical and environmental constraints to bring forward this exciting urban extension. This brownfield site needs a new railway bridge crossing and flood risk and noise mitigation but we have secured a market facing planning permission which is “viability-led” to take account of the site constraints and the Section 106 package reflects the economics of the site delivery.
Spawforths provided Planning, Masterplanning, Environmental Assessment and Consultation services.
