Spawforths hosts first WiP Breakfast Forum

WIP Members and guests indulged in breakfast whilst discussing the recently published `Fixing our broken housing market: White paper at the first `WiP Yorkshire & North East` Breakfast Forum.

Members discussed whether or not they considered that the measures detailed within the White paper would speed up the delivery of housing, and if the Paper was harsh, balanced or lightweight. Members were vocal on the issues they consider to be holding back the delivery of housing.

Members attending the Forum represented companies including Jones Homes, Taylor Wimpey, Walker Morris, Bond Dickinson, JRP, Spawforths, AHR, Deloittes, Bond Bryan, George Downing Construction, Airedon Planning & Design and Spawforths, who organised, hosted and sponsored the event.

Hannah Richardson, Associate at Spawforths and WiP Committee Member, who led the discussion said "The first Breakfast Forum was planned around the eagerly anticipated White Paper, intended to set out how the Government plans to speed up the delivery of much needed housing.  The discussion was lively and varied, with much concern expressed in terms of the likely success of the measures proposed within the White Paper.”

Thank you to the attendees for partaking in the Forum and sharing their thoughts, concerns and experiences with us.
