Warrington Services Appeal Success

Visual of the Warrington Service Area (Architecture 519/Sanders Studios)

Spawforths are delighted to announce that on 3 May 2022 the Planning Application for the Warrington Motorway Service Area at Junction 11 of the M62.

Spawforth's David Rolinson represented Extra MSA at the Planning Appeal in what was his 140th Planning Appeal. We are delighted at the successful outcome and cannot wait to see the finished scheme.

Extra’s proposed services include a 100-bed hotel, fuel filling station and food court. There would also be parking for 536 cars and electric vehicle charging stations. It will be set on 38 acres of Green Belt by Junction 11 of the M62, next to the restored Risley Landfill.

Spawforths was the planning consultant for the scheme. The project was designed by Architecture 519. The project team also included Wardell Armstrong, I-Transport, SLR Consulting, Zerum, and Sanders Studios.
