Blackpool Central

The £300 million Blackpool Central scheme sets the standard for quality and also challenges some general preconceptions about Blackpool. Spawforths masterplanners worked alongside our architects, planners and consultants to design a scheme which allows the new uses to fit among the heritage assets and to support the creation of a scheme which will catalyse the regeneration of the seaside town.

The outline planning application includes the creation of a large new public square which will become the focal point of Blackpool. When viewed from Blackpool Tower the quare will outline the former railway lines which filled the site when it was the largest railway station in Europe.
