Schools Competitions
Traditional forms of engagement such as exhibitions and public meetings often fail to reach or attract young families, children and teenagers – often due to their format, formality and timing. Over the years our urbanism team have developed considerable experience in running schools’ competitions with the aim of extending the reach of our engagement.
To run an effective event, the nature of the competition needs to be appropriate to both the curriculum and the target age groups. A presentation which sets out what is expected from the children, parent and teacher briefing notes, age appropriate prizes and a suitable prize giving ceremony all need to factored into the competition strategy.
