Visions for Large Sites

Some locations we work in require a larger scale of development to provide the investment needed to deliver key pieces of missing infrastructure such as bypasses, utilities upgrades or enhanced public transport facilities.

Developing small or modest extensions to smaller settlements, while on the surface appearing intuitively correct, may actually be counter productive as a small incremental approach to growth can often lead to adverse impacts on existing facilities and highway networks. Thinking bigger may actually allow communities to break free from a downward spiral of decline and change attitudes to an area and attract both public and private sector interest and funding.

Our large site visioning uses our urbanism, engagement and masterplanning skills to work with landowners and community leaders to develop bold and often challenging high level proposals for locations that had previously not been considered by either the local planning authority or the community themselves.
